When we ask designers to describe their work in one word, we get a lot of the same answers. Transitional. Eclectic.

But Antonino Buzzetta gave us a word we’ve never gotten before: Sexy.

If a room is going to be something, sexy sounds good to us!

“I love the mix of masculine and feminine,” Buzzetta said. It’s that intersection of the two, the mix of the two feels, that creates that undeniably sexy feel in all of his rooms.

The designer that has most shaped Buzzetta’s work? Juan Pablo Molyneux. “His designs are amazingly timeless with an air of aristocracy,” Buzzetta said.

From the living room to the bathroom and everything in between, we’d say that air of aristocracy is a common theme in Buzzetta’s work as well. And why shouldn’t it be? Most of us will never be king or queen anywhere else!

This designer’s range is one of our favorite things about him. He leaves his mark on a space while still being adaptable to what the client wants.

Seeing all of the elements of his plan come together in that final installation is Buzzetta’s favorite part of the design process.

So what’s his advice for all of us who might not be able to hire Antonino Buzzetta to design our homes? “Books,” he said. “I love books, you love books. There are so many books AND decor magazines out there that are an inspiration to how one can and should live.”

You know how much we love and design books, so we couldn’t agree any more. In fact, when Will and I first got married and moved into our first tiny house we (obviously!) didn’t have the money to hire a designer. So we gathered the bevy of amazing furniture and accessories our families gave us, dog-eared pictures out of my collection of design books, arranged rooms like the photos and found inexpensive versions of the beautiful designer fabrics that we loved in the photos. And it worked out pretty well!

Thanks so much, Antonino, for taking the time to lend us your insight! And thanks to all of you for stopping by today. Beautiful design is more fun when you share it with friends!
