Connecticut Cottages and Gardens

Good morning, chic friends! Does the summer seem to be flying by? Canada Day is over, the 4th of July is almost here…

Why does it always seem to go so fast?

Today, we thought we’d take a moment to slow down a bit and peek at some beyond fabulous kitchens. It is the heart of the home after all, the gathering spot for family, as we can attest. After a week with our huge extended family, we can truthfully say that, even with the ocean steps from the door, we spent most of the time in the kitchen!

Isn’t this one just as warm as can be? It’s clean and sleek, but the flowers and fruit add such an easy and beautiful touch. And even the kitchen can use a piece of fabulous accent furniture like this adorable island. Functional and attractive!

Isn’t this range fabulous? We’re in love with what seems to be the slow comeback of gorgeous white appliances like these. And cupcakes. We love cupcakes. Those poor apples… They never even had a chance!

A little bit open, a little bit closed. Perfect in every way!

Love the rustic touches in this kitchen…

And the hint of glamour in this one! That range and hood are like jewelry… Really great jewelry.

What’s your opinion of pot racks? I remember bringing all of that shining, clean All Clad into our brand new kitchen after the wedding and feeling like it was such a shame to put it away!

What a wonderful transition between a kitchen and living area. We love how this little division can be used for eating or reading. Living should be beautiful, of course. But isn’t finding ways to make it more functional what it’s all about?

What are your plans for the 4th of July? Hoping it is a wonderful weekend!
