Good morning, chic readers! We hope you are having a great day. Today is officially the last day of school–the last day of preschool, even–which is incredibly hard to believe. I feel like I should be upset and contemplative over the fact that preschool is over and next year is Kindergarten, but I am so excited for summer I can’t muster much sadness!  With almost three months of sandy feel, pool time and plenty of guests ahead of us, all we know is that our bathrooms are getting ready to work over time!  We know so many people that are making the most of their space by ditching their bathtubs all together in favor of generously sized showers. While we love a gorgeous shower as much as the next person, we can’t even imagine not having a bathtub! It’s the perfect relaxing end to a day–especially when it looks like this! What about you? Could you ditch your bathtub for good?

A gorgeous vanity is the perfect finishing touch in a well-appointed bathroom. We love the drawers for keeping everything neat and organized.

While we love frameless, elegant shower doors that seem to disappear, there’s no arguing that these steel doors make such a chic statement with a hint of industrial thrown in! If we’re going to spend the next three months soaking sandy bathing suits and rinsing chlorine-laden hair, why not have the most beautiful possible spot to do so? We don’t know about you, but we’re so looking forward to summer, gritty floors and all!

What design bloggers are saying about Slightly South of Simple:

“If you want a wonderful book to read now or on Spring break or summer vacation order this book out in April. I feel very lucky to have received an advance copy and I was hooked 4 pages into reading it. That never happens to me unless it is a decorating book, trust me this book is wonderful. I can totally visualize everything she describes in writing. I am a visual gal so this is fun for me. This needs to be made into a movie. It looks like my beautiful Southern friend Kristy Woodson Harvey has done it again with… Slightly South of Simple.” Kathysue Perdue, Good Life of Design
