Good morning, chic readers! We hope you are having a great day. The Southern Side of Paradise (tour dates below!) is in full swing and we hope to see you while we’re traveling!

In my last novel, The Secret to Southern Charm, Peachtree Bluff’s least Southern sister, Caroline, has a gorgeous Hamptons home that is the site of one of the most memorable chapters of the book. And, this year, I’ll be touring in the Hamptons as well! Today, we are imagining what Caroline’s Hamptons Beach House might look like. Take a peek for yourself!

From The Secret to Southern Charm:

CAROLINE’S HOUSE IN EAST Hampton suited her perfectly.

It wasn’t big, and it wasn’t on the water, but every inch of it was elegant and just modern enough.

The entire palette was water blues and creams with touches of gold, seagrass, and plenty of natural beauty from resin coral and oyster shells.

I had never been to it, of course. And walking through the front door, I instantly felt calm.

I assumed that’s what Mom had been going for when she designed it.

We can picture all the members of the Murphy clan gathering in a spot just like this at Caroline’s gorgeous home, decorated for her by Ansley, her interior designer mother…

And receiving some of the biggest news of their lives.

In The Southern Side of Paradise, that news would most certainly surround youngest sister Emerson who has her fair share of conflict in this novel.

We imagine this home to be perfectly styled but unfussy. This chicken wire sink is just that!

What’s the beach without blues? A rattan nightstand and vintage bathing suit print are perfect for a casual Hamptons house.

We love any beach cottage with shingles. Could this possibly be any more charming? Thanks so much for making Design Chic a part of your day!
