One of our favorite things is getting emails and questions from our readers. It gives us so much blog fodder and lets us know what’s on your minds.

We’ve noticed lately that outdoor lanterns have been a hot topic of discussion, which is great, because we’re wanting to discuss too!

In searching for the perfect lanterns for a client, for ourselves and for all of you, of course, we have come across so many fabulous things.

When it comes to choosing outdoor lanterns, everyone has an opinion. Some swear that lanterns should be only 1/5 of the height of the door, others land more on the 1/4 to 1/3 mark. This is one time where we’re on the bigger is better side of things. (Although, you know we love statement lighting in general, so this probably isn’t a surprise!)

Of course, sometimes a pair of lanterns flanking a door simply won’t do. And thinking outside the box can be so glamorous. We are swooning over this lantern!

The Enchanted Home – Palmetto Bluff

And our friend Tina from the Enchanted Home always gets it right. (Of course, we’re biased because we have these same lanterns in brass!)

The Governor from Bevolo (We know you’re going to ask, so we’re getting ahead of it!) is one of our favorite styles lately, and nothing–absolutely nothing–is as elegant and lovely to us as real gas lanterns. They’re a welcoming touch all the time!

What is your favorite outdoor lantern style?
