So fun – I still remember Krista Ewart’s pretty pink bungalow from HB this past summer! Hope your holiday plans include some whimsy, too…
These look like SO much fun. If I’d seen that big wheel storage thing when I was little, my parents wouldn’t have the end of it!!

I recognize that wallpaper in the green and black bathroom…the Zebra print from Scalamandre (used to work for them)…just so much fun and still not trendy. You are so right about adding a bit of fun to a room!

Agree – life is short and should not be taken so seriously. Adding something in your home that makes you smile everyday is the key!
Oh, yes, a touch of whimsy is a must. You can add just a little touch, like I do, with accessories. Such as giant rubber dice in a gold-leaf bowl or kids card games in a crystal dish.
Now, am I going crazy or is it snowing on your blog?!
Fabulous…the ferris wheel literally takes whimsy to a whole new level!
the 1st and the 4 th images are a dream!
I’ve always wanted a Paul Smith wavy rug – they’re just too cool and fun and you’re right – whimsical!
I completely agree that each room needs a touch of whimsy — or what fun would that room be?! These are beautiful examples 🙂
The green zebra wallpaper in the bathroom has been a fave of my since it first hit the shelter magazines. I also LOVE that kids room. Merry! Merry!
What a great collection of whimsy!
I especially love the Jed Johnson room + Turquoise, Tulips and Bliss.

These are all wonderful but I especially love the first with that fabulous chair and pear. And that Katie Ridder powder room is in my files as well – just love it!

Love the bathroom with the Scalamandre paper! I’ve never seen it in green. I agree…I think a little fun and humor in a room keeps it fresh! Life is so serious…why on earth not?:)
