We just got back from a fabulous family trip to the lovely Sullivan’s Island. It was the perfect place to while away Easter week with people we love — despite the rainy weather!
And when you get to spend the week tucked away in a beautiful cottage like this one, it really doesn’t even matter what’s going on outside.
So it’s no coincidence that Sullivan’s Island, one of its sister beaches, is also one of our favorites.
Every cottage in Sullivan’s Island is great, but we are quite partial to the ones built and designed by Sea Island Builders. All those little details that make a house feel like home are the ones that these builders add in droves. And if you’ve ever done a building project, you know that finding a builder who can bring your vision to life is paramount.
Just look at this kitchen! Gorgeous and modern but also as beachy as can be. We just adore open shelving in beach kitchens.
That view is so stunning! Even on those days when you can’t be outside, you can still feel like a part of the landscape.
An accent color in the back of a cabinet adds so much pizazz. We would always choose a perfect shade of blue like this for a beach house.
These wide plank, white floors lend so much character to the home. They add an antique, lived-in feel to the home.
This shell fireplace adds loads of character to the living room.
We are obsessed with this rope-covered banister! It’s so Island chic!
The blue-painted ceiling not only keeps the bugs away but also adds loads of personality to this porch.
And look at this view! That’s what porches are all about! Wherever you’re sitting this week, we hope the view is great!
