One of the most important elements in any bedroom is the bedside table.

In a master bedroom, we have quite a few criteria for bedside tables. They have to be beautiful, obviously.

But adding storage wherever possible is one of our favorite, tried and true, bedroom ideas. Sneaking in extra space in those bedside tables is no exception!

In a guest bedroom, though, who really needs storage? You didn’t want your guests to stay for that long, did you?

An open table is a great choice for a bedside table, and still offers plenty of room for guest essentials: a book, flowers and, if you’re being extra welcoming, a little pitcher and water glass.

These fun tables offer the best of both worlds. The openness of a table but a bit of the storage of a traditional nightstand! Perfect!

The proportions of these little end tables are perfect for a bedroom with sconces. Without a lamp taking up the majority of the prime real estate, there’s no need to make them huge. Plus, it leaves plenty of room for extra seating in the corners! Doesn’t that little reading nook look so cozy?

Oh my goodness, the chandelier and ceiling steal the show in this bedroom! But the sweet bedside table is also a beautiful addition. It adds to the charm of this beautiful room.

Especially in a light room like this, a wood piece makes the room feel grounded and complete. This is a master suite we’d like to copy. But, then again, Lee Ann Thornton doesn’t make many mistakes!
Of course, the accessories on the bedside table are as important as the table itself! I absolutely adore this lamp. Mom bought me the same one a few years ago, and it’s so fun! (Thanks, Mom!) I wish the stack of books on my bedside table was this tame… I’m always having to pare down! What do you keep on your bedside table?
Thanks for making us a part of your Thursday!

So many pretty examples….working on a project right now for someone and we are at the stage of selecting end tables, so this was a great post! Thank you…..this also reminds me that my own could use some “tidying”!
love the eye candy! always on my bedside table is a stack of books I can never get around to reading, my reading glasses :), alarm clock, lamp, and chapstick. i’m inspired now to get a tray to keep it looking more organized instead of just a mountain of books 🙂
I am so happy to find you again! I thought you were on a long vacation!
Gorgeous images, of course!

Love the lamp. Would you mind telling where it is available?
First the picture hanging in the first pic is captivating (I already pinned it)….i love that ocean blue/green color so calming with white in a bedroom. Second I am a big fan of storage for bedside tables…too many little things i keep….lip balm, hand cream, note pad, pens, books, extra pair of glasses, and kleenex…etc….gee! Great post and have a wonderful day.
I like your bedside lamp! Yes, storage and styling is all part of the look and decision making process. Lots of great ideas here!
Love this Post! And…I do love that lamp!
It’s refreshing to see bedside tables don’t always have to match. The rooms in your post show so many varied tables. Thanks so much!
yes, yes, storage + I find clients ask for that first +
