Happy, happy Monday, sweet friends! We hope you are all having a great morning. I turned in the final, final draft of my novel, Dear Carolina, on Friday, so today feels like a good day for a little celebration — and a lot of retail therapy! We thought we’d share a few of our favorite, fabulous pieces from one of our favorite shops, The Highboy, in case you are in need of a little purchase as well!

This is the home of the Douglas Scott and Olga Granda-Scott, the founders of The Highboy.

Their home is a clear expression of their keen eye for fabulous things. Olga is an expert in European art and antiques, following in her father’s footsteps.

Douglas joined the family business, taking it online at a time when that concept was relatively new. And, thus, The Highboy was born!

Their lovely home is a reflection of their beautiful taste and bodes well for the amazing treasures found within the pages of their website! Here are a few of our favorites:

Italian Antique Giltwood Torches Fragment

French Water Gilded Finials with Coral

These incredible finials are amazing for making a statement at a beach house — but would really make a fantastic centerpiece anywhere. We adore the touch of nature that coral adds anywhere at all.

French Vintage Collector’s Telescope

For looking at the stars, spotting far away ships… Or looking pretty on your desk! There are oh-so many uses for a great telescope like this one!

Convex Sunburst Mirror

Some starbursts are a dime a dozen, but this one has just the right style to really make a statement. We would put this one over a bed. (Don’t you just love them there??)

Authentic Signed Chanel Gold Gilt Wheat Sheaf Table

My, oh my, her sheafs are as beautiful as her sheaths… Nothing like a little Chanel to make a mark on a home! This is too fabulous and signed!

Mid-Century Maison Jansen Chrome and Brass Conversation Table

Jansen has always been one of our favorites for classic style with tons of flair. This chrome and brass conversation table would be a conversation starter wherever you put it!

French Louis XV-Style Leather-Top Desk

This is exactly like the fabulous French desk I didn’t bid on at an auction several years ago and have regretted ever since. I think it’s a sign! (I would definitely get more work done at this desk!)

French Antique Painted and Gilt Wood Trumeau

Few things are as elegant as a trumeau mirror. This one is luxe and luscious. It would be fabulous over a mantle.

Set of Six French Deco Dining Chairs

Plain, wood dining chairs can be a bit boring. But these French deco pieces add glamour to the table like few others we’ve seen. And they would look amazing paired with another set if six isn’t quite enough.

French Antique Walnut Marquetry Commode

A fine commode is one of those pieces that never goes out of style and can be passed on from generation to generation. The pulls on this one are so unique.

18th C. Oyster Veneer English Walnut Chest

Wow! We love a walnut chest, and this one is truly spectacular. The detail of the woodwork is simply stunning.

Vintage French Brass Bar Cart

A beautiful bar cart is a unique addition to a living room. The antique look of this one is a perfect complement in a formal space — and it’s always nice to be able to offer surprise guests a cocktail!

Pair of Vintage Toy Bicycles

These vintage toy bicycles would outfit a playroom in style. So cute!

With so many fabulous pieces at The Highboy, we don’t how we’d ever choose just one… This Monday is definitely looking up! Thanks so much for visiting us today. We hope your week is amazing!
