All good things must come to an end. And, in this case, the good thing coming to an end was our slow, steady, seamless progress on our One Room Challenge kitchen. To the untrained eye, this bright, shiny stainless sink may look like huge progress.

And the marble these sinks are encased within might look like serious serious progress. And they would have been. If they were ours.

We fell in love with these zero radius sinks — and bought them — even before this project began. They are sleek and shiny and quite like kitchen jewelry, right?

And, obviously, any waterfront home needs a huge sink with a grate for cleaning fish… Especially since said grate will protect the shiny, stainless goodness below it from scratches, dings and dents.

And the special straining basket makes short work of all those undesirable bits you were cleaning, of course!

We went and picked our perfect Carrara marble, white, and creamy and crisp. We debated honed vs. shiny, deciding on honed, and waited for our gorgeous, hand-procured slab complete with our square, zero-radius sinks to be installed…

But, when we arrived we saw neither. When the wrong marble and sinks appeared, you can imagine that it was a sad moment. Sure, it’s a site better than what was there originally. But, all the same, these countertops and sinks weren’t our vision. On a bright note, the crisis should be averted by next week… We hope! Keep your fingers crossed for us. We hope we have some serious, happy progress to share with you then! Until then, make sure to check out what we are sure is the positive progress of our One Room Challenge friends and our Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 if missed the progress.
