Sometimes it can be easy to get complacent about your home. We know, it happens to us too.
You just get used to seeing the same things day after day after day and you don’t even realize that they don’t necessarily reflect you or your family anymore, or even worse, aren’t functional for the way you want to live.
The good news is that all it can take, many times, is just a little spark of an idea, a single inspirational piece–like these incredible things from the Dorothy Draper Collection–to add the right kind of pizazz back into a room that has gotten a little stale.
Of course, there’s always the chance that replacing that sofa makes you realize that you really would like a new coffee table and that you’ve never really loved that chair by the fireplace…
But that’s okay too.
Because, for our homes to be a reflection of who we are, they must evolve as we do.
And maybe you used to be a crystal-chandelier-and-antique-dining-chair person and now you’re a little more modern.
Or maybe you don’t think you can possibly work another moment if you don’t have that one-of-a-kind French desk in your bay window.
It is October, after all, which means that, though they seem far away, the holidays are speeding toward us.
Which means family is coming and you need that pull-out couch and friends will be dropping by and you really can’t look at the stain on the rug one more time.
We don’t know about you, but, this year, for once, we are going to start early. Instead of being in a panicked rush on November 28 that we are hosting the holidays at our house and have so very much to do, we are going to get going on our holidays house spruce now, while we have plenty of time!
For us, that means picking out some favorite pieces from Best Prices for Furniture to make sure that we get the absolute best price on those little tweaks here and major overhauls there. Because, after all, we want to give Santa a compelling reason to stop here.
