We don’t know if it’s true that blondes have more fun. (Although, as a lifelong blonde, I could made a strong case for it!) But we’re pretty sure, if these gorgeous homes are any indication, that blonde wood make a house more fun. We’ve never seen anything quite like these blonde wood pendants! They are incredible and blend so well with the bar stools. Can we talk about these vases too? All we know is that we want them!
Hardwoods are obviously a perfect choice for kitchen style. We love them in a variety of shades, but we think a lighter flooring choice feels casual and fun. What do you think?
From bright bold, shades….
To more subdued tones or neutrals, every color pairs well with blonde wood!
Shiny and fresh or raw and rustic, we love blonde wood any old way! Are you a fan?
Thanks so much for making Design Chic a part of your day! We love our readers!

More about my new book, SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF SIMPLE
Also, if you want to know a little more about my new novel, SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF SIMPLE (Simon & Schuster, April 25, 2017) take a peek at the video below! (It’s only like 90 seconds. No major commitments here!)
This is cute.
I recently received by grandmother’s Singer sewing machine housed in a table that my Papa customized in “blonde” (like Nona), complete with three drawers, wooden organizer drawer drop-ins, blonde slats and even hand turned spool holders. The cutest is the and brass pulls on each drawer (that are next level).
Blondes have more fun while brunettes get things done so bring on the fun, and let’s stick together while we forge on through (this silly poem’s end).. whatever!
Good Morning Girls,
So refreshing! Blond in design is Back. I grew up with Blond Mahogany furniture! Slowly I have revolved back from dark woods in flooring to blond tones. I now have very light floors in blond with gray tones..(matches my hair!) They meld in with all my gold textures perfectly and of course we have have pops of black!
I also love those kitchen pendants!

While the blond woods are gorgeous, it was the video of you, Kristy, that really captured my attention this morning. { was tempted to make a play on blond and your name – but restrained myself}
The book sounds exciting, and I can’t wait to read it! Back to the other blondes, those pendants are sublime. Blond woods really work in any setting, don’t they?
‘ve always loved blonde woods, especially blonde floors. I’ve just bought a home, circa 1918 with all original maple floors – blonde! I’ll be giving them a sanding, no stain and satin finish. So excited!
I LOVE the blonde wood as an accent in a room, but when it is on the floors, walls and ceiling? Oh my! Way too much of a good thing! Just keep thinking of the time and expense of removing when the trend is over.
