These long, lazy days of summer are the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the splendor of a beautiful garden. While flowers, shrubs and green things of every kind are certainly the main event of any garden, there’s one essential that we think adds so much charm and style:
A fabulous garden gate!
From a sophisticated pergola overflowing with flowers,
To a simple gate that whispers “welcome,”
From a simple, classic wrought iron,
To a stunning style with automatic open,
There are so many styles to enhance a garden of any size or type.
A gate is a perfect opportunity to insert another material into a pretty brick wall,
Or create a secret passageway in a stone enclosure.
Dark stains blend with the wood around,
While white makes an elegant statement–especially when combined with white florals on the front. What is your favorite type of garden gate?

I too have a love of garden gates and doors, so much so I have a pinterest board dedicated to them. I am always fascinated by them and what might be beyond or inside. Maybe I am just nosey!!;)
Oh there is nothing like a beautiful garden gate….I love strolling the streets of Charleston admiring all of the magnificent gates and gardens beyond them!
