Everyone warned me. I’ll admit it. I was told by everyone from the manufacturer to the installer that marble is not the most durable surface for a kitchen counter. But, when you get right down to it, some things in life are as much about aesthetics as they are about function.
So I did it anyway. And, it’s true. It gets etched. But what’s the point of having a beautiful kitchen if you can’t cook in it without being stressed?
We had it our marble sealed, which certainly helped, and, truth be told, there’s some etching and some scratching and if you look really closely, there’s a stain or two.
But, in some ways, that has made it even better, It’s growing older with grace, and we feel pretty certain that its dancing days are far from over.
like it has remembered every sandy pimento cheese sandwich, every cocktail party, every family dinner, every glass of wine with a best friend.
It’s growing older with grace,
and we feel pretty certain that its dancing days are far from over.
Whether you’ve been pining for your own white marble, prefer more durable granite,
or are even looking for the perfect slate or travertine for your dream kitchen, what we hope is that you love your stone choice as much as we have!
