It is amazing how the tiniest details can totally transform a room. A bar stool... A chic centerpiece… A fun rug... We have to say that all of these adorable pieces from Serena & Lily completely changed our kitchen!
To say that we had been pining for these Riviera Bar Stools is probably an understatement. They added just the right amount of coastal chic, texture and pattern to our white kitchen.
Another game changer? This darling runner! We were perfectly content with plain hardwoods until we saw how much more finished and cozy the house looked this rug. And the stool is not only a chic, teak accent, but will also help my little one wash his hands!
Truth be told, we eat at our kitchen bar almost as much as our dining room table. The details on this Serena & Lily tray make it a beautiful focal point–and it’s as functional as it is pretty! Simple, pretty napkins are a perfect finishing touch.
Just for fun… This is what the kitchen looked like on Tuesday at 4 pm before the photo shoot on Wednesday! A lot of you probably know that this house had to be completely gutted after Hurricane Florence in September 2018, and, full disclosure, the rest of the house is a total construction site! But just to see this one room come together was a huge light at the end the tunnel. Big, huge thanks to Serena & Lily for getting us in gear!
Another big, huge thanks to Smith Hardy for taking the gorgeous photos of our kitchen!
More About Feels Like Falling…
From “the next major voice in Southern fiction” (Elin Hilderbrand) and the bestselling author of the Peachtree Bluff series comes an odd couple tale of friendship that asks just how much our past choices define our happiness.
It’s summertime on the North Carolina coast and the livin’ is easy.
Unless, that is, you’ve just lost your mother to cancer, your sister to her evangelical husband, and your husband to his executive assistant. Meet Gray Howard. Right when Gray could use a serious infusion of good karma in her life, she inadvertently gets a stranger fired from her job at the local pharmacy.
Diana Harrington’s summer isn’t off to the greatest start either: Hours before losing her job, she broke up with her boyfriend and moved out of their shared house with only a busted Impala for a bed. Lucky for her, Gray has an empty guest house and a very guilty conscience.
With Gray’s kindness, Diana’s tide begins to turn, but when the one that got away comes back, every secret from her past seems to resurface all at once. And, as Gray begins to blaze a new trail, she discovers, with Diana’s help, that what she envisioned as her perfect life may not be what she wants at all.
In her warmest, wittiest, and wisest novel yet, Kristy Woodson Harvey delivers a discerning portrait of modern womanhood through two vastly different lenses. Feels Like Falling is a beach bag essential for Harvey fans—and for a new generation of readers.
