House Tour: Central Park Residence

We don’t know about you, but the perfect pied-à-terre in the city that never sleeps sounds pretty fabulous….
But, truth be told, this Central Park stunner is quite a bit more than an NYC crash pad.

Classically beautiful architecture blended with impeccable design make for a place that we think anyone would be proud to call home.

The modern art makes this super traditional space feel fun.
This spacious room is luscious and luxurious.
Everything in this kitchen is sleek, streamlined and chic, chic, chic. We LOVE lacquer!
This bathtub is an amazing use of space. This gray and white color palette is one of our favorites.
If there’s anything we love more than gray and white it’s a room with the Midas Touch.
This room is the definition of opulence!
We don’t have to tell you that banquettes are one of our favorite things. A banquette with a view of the park is almost too good!
A home is really nothing more than a sum of its vignettes. With vignettes like this, we’d say this home is on the right track.
And speaking of vignettes… This combination of old and new, traditional and modern, is perfection.
Thanks for touring with us today! We hope your day is as fantastic as this home!

House Tour: Stephen Shubel Design

It’s summer, and all we can say is: Hooray for color!
This gorgeous home, choreographed by Stephen Shubel Design, has color in droves. And it makes us think, what’s our big attachment to neutrals?
Doesn’t this dining room make you happy?
Now this is how beach storage should be! When you walk in this mudroom, you know you’re in for a fun time!
This light fixture is a focal point for sure. The mix of blues is so beautiful.
This garden seat makes a perfect end table. We like the mix of patterns in this space.
What a cozy suite! We love the idea of having a sofa in the bedroom.
I am all about the desk. Any place where you spend a lot of time should be super special. This area definitely fits the bill!
Black and white is such a bold, classic color combo. The touch of blue tones it down and makes it very soothing.
What a fun poolside space! It looks perfect for girls weekends and celebrations galore.
We can’t decide which of this home’s outdoor spaces we love most! Lounging poolside is fabulous, sure…
But this woodsier space feels like getting back to nature.
What a great place to play! Bocce and watermelon? We’re in!
We hope you have enjoyed the tour of this fabulous home as much as we did. How do you add color to your life?

Why is it that a laid-back, casual style can be so hard to achieve?
You would think that creating an easy look would be — well — easy.
The pros at Muskoka Living Interiors make casual chic look simple.
Talk about a view! Rolling up the walls is one of the more fabulous ideas we’ve seen!
We adore the simple, classic elements of this kitchen.

Steel windows are one of our favorite ways to add a shot of the unexpected.
This door is gorgeous in its own right but the hardware really sets it apart.
Simple touches like a casual throw make a room feel so inviting.
The combination of dark wood and white upholstered furniture is one of our favorite looks.
A painted floor adds instant pizazz.
We think it’s clear from these gorgeous photos by Photographer Michael Graydon that Muskoka Living Interiors is in good taste. We hope your day is too!

House Tour: Fisherman’s Cottage

Hi, everyone! We are getting so excited for the 4th of July! What do you have planned for the holiday?

If you haven’t picked a spot for celebrating our independence, we think this Fisherman’s cottage would do nicely!

Sprawling rooms certainly have their place, and we love living vicariously in them on our home tours.
But, at the end of the day, a cozy spot that feels livable above all else is what we find most relaxing.

Fill it with gorgeous, one-of-a-kind touches like these stunning floors and that charming cabinet, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a place worthy of whiling away a holiday weekend.

We are so guilty of not being able to branch out when it comes to art. This wall proves that it doesn’t have to be symmetrical or typical — just treasured — to be the ideal focal point.
Unique touches like this rope banister are what set this home apart — and take advantage of every available inch.
One of the most remarkable features of this home to us is how it is filled with precious trinkets and fine accessories and still feels ultimately livable.
We would be as happy as the clams we spent the day catching to have this couch made up for us!
Surrounded by stacks of books is the best way to be. We’d never thought of using the books as the actual nightstand…
What do you think of this fine example of living well without the unnecessary dusting?
Wishing you a 4th full of fireworks!
