A Touch of Glamour in Buckhead

glamour Buckhead home

Good morning, chic readers! We don’t know about you, but we wanted to start this week on a gorgeous, glamorous note. And this Buckhead home designed by Suzanne Kasler? It’s both of those things in droves! It’s also super appropriate because we’re heading to Atlanta at the end of the week for the Design Influencers Conference and can’t wait to see some old and new friends–and houses!

glamour

One step into the entrance hall, and it is abundantly clear that we are in for a treat! Entrance hall tables can sometimes be tricky to decorate, but this one makes round table style look effortless–and takes chic to the next level.

glamour living room

A soft palette, lots of texture and touches of metallics make for an incredibly inviting space.

glamour

We know Valentine’s Day is over for this year, but it’s never too early to start thinking about next year! Would this not be the most gorgeous Valentine’s Day table?

library glamour

While this home is certainly filled with feminine touches, a dark paneled den creates a chic and stately masculine juxtaposition.

glamour breakfast nook

Banquette. Bubble chandelier. It’s too, too good!

kitchen glamour

You know we’re huge fans of the white kitchen. Touches of blue add the perfect bit of soft color.

bedroom glamour

Nowhere is layered color more soothing and beautiful than in the master bedroom. Once again, the texture lends an undeniable softness that can’t help but feel incredibly cozy.

bedroom glamour

We’d love to be a guest in this room! Wouldn’t you? We hope you loved this glamorous Buckhead beauty just as much as we did! And if you’re going to be at the Design Influencers Conference, please let us know! We’d love to catch up!!

Thanks so much for making Design Chic a part of your day. We always love it when you stop by.

House Tour: New Beginning in Buckhead

beginning Buckhead house

This is the time of year when we really start to think about tradition.

beginning Buckhead house office

What’s special about it, what’s memorable.

beginning Buckhead house living room

The way that it bonds us together as family, as friends, as people traveling the same path at the same time.

beginning Buckhead house living room

But tradition isn’t just about what happens around the Thanksgiving table, about the afternoon football games, the tree-lightings, the turkey and the stuffing.

beginning Buckhead house kitchen

It’s also about home, or, in this case, a house in all its iterations,

beginning Buckhead house dining room

The way it grows and changes over time, morphs into the place where trends are embraced and families are formed,

beginning Buckhead house dining room

Lives are lived and memories are made.

beginning Buckhead house living room

In the case of this beautiful Buckhead home, which has been imagined and reimagined for more than 100 years,

It has changed into a place where a couple and their two children could live comfortably and entertain in style

Designer Clary Bosbyshell of Margaux Interiors brought the vision to life, indoors and out, and, it’s safe to say, breathed new energy into this project.

All we can say is, here’s to the next 100 years!

Here’s What’s Next from the Murphy Women:

From internationally bestselling author and “rising star of Southern fiction” (Mary Alice Monroe, New York Times bestselling author) Kristy Woodson Harvey comes the third novel in her Peachtree Bluff series, in which a secret threatens the tight-knit bond between a trio of sisters and their mother.

With the man of her dreams back in her life and all three of her daughters happy, Ansley Murphy should be content. But she can’t help but feel like it’s all a little too good to be true.

Meanwhile, youngest daughter and actress Emerson, who is recently engaged and has just landed the role of a lifetime, seemingly has the world by the tail. Only, something she can’t quite put her finger on is worrying her—and it has nothing to do with her recent health scare.

When two new women arrive in Peachtree Bluff—one who has the potential to wreck Ansley’s happiness and one who could tear Emerson’s world apart—everything is put in perspective. And after secrets that were never meant to be told come to light, the powerful bond between the Murphy sisters and their mother comes crumbling down, testing their devotion to each other and forcing them to evaluate the meaning of family.

With Kristy Woodson Harvey’s signature charm, wit, and heart, The Southern Side of Paradise is another masterful Peachtree Bluff novel that proves she is a “Southern writer with staying power” (Booklist).
