After three weeks at home finishing the edits for my next book, The Secret to Southern Charm, I’m back on the road today for two NC events today and two tomorrow. While I’m on the road I’ll be thinking about some of the sprucing I need to do before the fall–some fun, like replacing my bar stools and finding spots for several new pieces of art. And some not so fun, like replacing the roof.
If you’re daydreaming about your home today, let the good taste of Allison Elebash Interiors inspire you like it has us.
Fun color palettes,
Multi-purpose pieces like this beautiful bar cart,
And art that makes a major statement are only a few hallmarks of this talented designer’s interiors.
We are huge fans of designers who aren’t afraid to mix it up with lots of color, and we’re swooning over this yellow and white Ikat. We’re loving all that is yellow right now–and who doesn’t want to be reminded of summer all year round?
This blue and white polka dot is slightly more subdued but no less eye catching. Skirts like these are a fun, inexpensive way to transform an old piece of furniture that needs some love into a focal point once again.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Library lamps are one of our new obsessions–especially as the seasons begin to change. The cooler air means more time indoors snuggled up with a good book. The perfect light and a perfect throw make that even more desirable. And now I’m adding a pair of those to my list for fall…
Speaking of spending more time indoors… It’s the perfect time to invite a few friends over for a fun fall cocktail. There’s nothing like a good drink and great company to take the edge off of a cold night.
