House Tour: Sullivan’s Island Historic Stunner

Sullivan's Island House tour

We have a huge soft spot for historic homes, like this lovely one on Sullivan’s Island.

Sullivan's Island foyer

The materials… The charm… The details. They are so hard to replicate–and maybe just as hard to preserve.

Beau Clowney Architects and Sea Island Builders had their work cut out for them when maintaining the historic integrity of this historic Sullivan’s Island home while bringing it up to date for a new era.

Sullivan's Island kitchen

They succeeded in saving as much of the original 1800s home as possible while giving the homeowner’s a functional space perfect for their family.

Sullivan's Island kitchen

This stunning kitchen is case in point, maintaining the feel of a historic home but incorporating all the trappings of a modern chef’s kitchen. Even we would want to cook in this space. Or, well, at least sit on those cute stools and have a glass of wine…

Exposed wood keeps the look historic and beachy, perfect for Sullivan’s Island,

Sullivan's Island bedroom

While painted ceilings add a freshness and brightness that contribute to the home’s light, bright feel. We adore the aged look of the paneling in this charming bedroom. It’s so chic!

Vaulted ceilings make a smaller space seem open and airy, perfect for guests. And the modern fan is a fun touch.

Sullivan's Island porch

The exterior of this home is truly special.

Sullivan's Island pool

And that pool? Perfect for lounging all summer long! Wishing you a day that feels just like this!

A beautiful fireplace with a stunning piece of art is always a favorite focal point for us. And the symmetry in this room is absolutely stunning.

We love a house that’s designed to take advantage of every square inch of view–and shiplap ceilings lend a coastal feel.

Porches and patios are hard to beat when it comes to taking advantage of living in gorgeous places. These shutters are a chic and convenient way to close it up when it’s time to go home.

Whether on the front, back or side, these architects really know how to make an entrance .

This classic style is so well done. We love the black and white with touches of copper.

Speaking of welcoming, who wouldn’t want to be a guest at this gorgeous home? We know we would!
