Living at the beach, we absolutely live for summer. The long, sunny days, nights fishing on the dock with friends, cocktails on the porch (distanced cocktails, of course!) and afternoons by the pool. We try to work a little less, play a little more and make tons of memories to carry us through the cold winter months.
We always have a beach bag packed, full and ready at a moment’s notice for impromptu cocktail cruises or island hops–and a stack of fluffy, fun Serena & Lily beach towels to wrap up little wet people and spread on the sand. This yellow and white stripe is our favorite but you can’t go wrong with any of the gorgeous assortment of colors they offer. They are the ultimate, multi-tasking summer accessory!
(And, obviously, I always have a bag full of my newest, favorite beach reads!) Serena & Lily beach towels are our favorites because they are plush and cushy, but they don’t shed like some fluffy towels. They dry quickly and come out of the washer and dryer as vibrant and fresh as they went in. Summer after summer we return to these fabulous towels.
But towels aren’t the only Serena & Lily beach items we’re loving this summer. These darling gingham chairs and umbrella are made for beach sitting in style!
More fun colors of our favorite towels! These wide stripes just scream summer to us! And the nautical colors are super seaworthy.
These adorable lightweight yet substantial chairs go from beach-sitting to porch fun in a flash!
Could there be a more idyllic summer spot than this one? Those chaises are the stuff of summer dreams, and oh my goodness, that view!
A cozy spot for two turned unfathomably chic!
From picnics to catching rays, this gorgeous towel is perfectly suited for sun, wind, sand and everything in between!
We love vibrant colors all year round, but in the summer, they feel like a necessity!
Can’t choose a favorite color? Get one of each! We can’t think of anything that looks quite this lovely when it’s simply hanging out to try. Dirty laundry? Not here!
And, when in doubt, you can’t ever go wrong with ocean blue. Any time, any place, in any location, it looks great all summer long.
What are your favorite summer accessories? Is there a certain beach towel you can’t live without?
Thanks so much for sharing your summer with Design Chic. We love spending the season with you!

_____________
Leaving fans “practically [begging] for a sequel” (Bookpage), critically acclaimed author Kristy Woodson Harvey returns with the second novel in her beloved Peachtree Bluff series, featuring a trio of sisters and their mother who discover a truth that will change not only the way they see themselves, but also how they fit together as a family.
After finding out her military husband is missing in action, middle sister Sloane’s world crumbles as her worst nightmare comes true. She can barely climb out of bed, much less summon the strength to be the parent her children deserve.
Her mother, Ansley, provides a much-needed respite as she puts her personal life on hold to help Sloane and her grandchildren wade through their new grief-stricken lives. But between caring for her own aging mother, her daughters, and her grandchildren, Ansley’s private worry is that secrets from her past will come to light.
But when Sloane’s sisters, Caroline and Emerson, remind Sloane that no matter what, she promised her husband she would carry on for their young sons, Sloane finds the support and courage she needs to chase her biggest dreams—and face her deepest fears. Taking a cue from her middle daughter, Ansley takes her own leap of faith and realizes that, after all this time, she might finally be able to have it all.
Harvey’s signature warmth and wit make this a charming and poignant story of first loves, missed opportunities, and second chances and proves that she is “the next major voice in Southern fiction” (Elin Hilderbrand, New York Times bestselling author).
