‘Tis the season, readers. For trees and presents,
Friends and fellowship,
And gathering around a home cooked meal.
Because these next few weeks are about celebrating, about savoring, about remembering.
But, most importantly of all, they’re about connecting.
In the rush of the decorating and the shopping, the parties and the egg nog, the kids’ programs and present wrapping, there are moments, many of them, in fact, that are tailor made for connecting, for remembering who and what is most important in our lives.
Whether it’s taking the time to reconnect with a friend you haven’t seen in far too long in the corner of a crowded party over the fa-la-las blaring through the speakers,
Or staying up far too late whispering with that relative that you haven’t seen since last Christmas,
Fighting over who gets to sit at the best seat, the one beside Grandmother and, even better, her stories of holidays past,
Or deciding to forgo gifts this year in favor of good, true, quality time together, we hope that this season can be filled, for each of you, with what we all need perhaps most of all: love, relationships and a reminder of where we come from and where we want to go. Because, amid the bells and tinsels, the festivities and the merriment, there is always time for remembering what is most important.
Speaking of connections, we are so grateful for our By Invitation Only group this holiday season–and the friendship of these remarkable women. To see each of their takes on connections this season, visit Daily Plate of Crazy, where we’ll all be linking up!
Thank you so much for stopping by and for making Design Chic a part of your day!
