To a bright look that turns a hallway into a moment,
We’re loving the beautiful style of this designer.
Just because it’s a bathroom doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be accessorized!
A custom, luxurious bath in shades of blue gives this bathroom a totally unique look.
We are still reeling–and we know you are too–from the events in Las Vegas earlier this week and our hearts go out to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. You are all in our thoughts and prayers!
Thank you so much for making Design Chic a part of your day. We always love it when you stop by!
Good morning, chic reader friends. After a rainy, rainy day yesterday, we are ready for a little sunshine and to get out and about. Nothing says “bright and happy” quite like this fabulous room by our friend Andrew Howard. This is also a room that proves the power of texture.
Just a hint of it totally changes a room. Aren’t these woven blinds wonderful? They add the right touch of a little something extra.
You know we love our neutrals. What keeps them from looking boring? Great textures, of course! Just a hint of it takes this coffee table from simple to stylish.
Our hands-down favorite way to add texture to any space is with a natural fiber rug. From a formal living room to a casual playroom, natural fibers work well in any room.
Mixing up the materials is a great way to add dimension and style to a kitchen. We’re big fans of these great pendant lights.
Speaking of texture in the kitchen, these barstools are oh so chic.
“I’ve just discovered a wonderful author that I adore…A ‘don’t bother me, I’m reading’ story that has you smiling and crying for each of the ladies.” –Books-A-Million
More about my new book, SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF SIMPLE
Also, if you want to know a little more about my new novel, SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF SIMPLE (Simon & Schuster, April 25, 2017) take a peek at the video below! (It’s only like 90 seconds. No major commitments here!)
If you liked the good taste of Sarah Bartholomew yesterday, you’re going to love her fabulous home. A little bit fancy, a little bit fun and just the right amount of free-spirited, her house is full of personality!
Just like falling in love or choosing the perfect dress, good taste is something we can’t necessarily describe. But we know it right away when we see it. So, when we ran across the work of Sandra Meyer of Ella Scott Design, we knew instantly that we wanted to see more! Her work hits the right high notes between traditional and modern so that every element seems perfectly in line.
