For a classic, crisp, clean look that’s welcome in any season, there’s nothing quite like a serene white kitchen. It’s a beautiful, traditional staple that complements any home’s design scheme. Take a peek at a few of our favorites!
Thanks so much for making Design Chic a part of your day. We always love it when you do!
What People are Saying About Slightly South of Simple:
“My prediction is that writers come and writers go, but Kristy Woodson Harvey is here to stay. The warmth, wit, and wisdom of this novel pave her way into the exclusive sisterhood of southern writers.” (—The Huffington Post)
And we are thrilled to have been nominated by Amara as a Best Luxury Blog and would so appreciate you for voting for us here!
We can never start the new year without thinking about health and fitness and this year is no exception. I’m thinking about purchasing some new shoes and I’ve heard great things about these running shoes, even if my “running” is just a brisk walk. I’ve had these for several years, and just thought I’d try something different. I need a few new workout pieces and this jacket would work over any outfit, but I’m loving this color. These shirts are perfect for my morning “run” and on those unseasonably warm mornings at the beach, I’m thinking about this. These pants are my “go to”. Do you have a favorite workout brand? We’d love to know!
Also, if you want to know a little more about my new novel, SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF SIMPLE (Simon & Schuster, April 25, 2017) take a peek at the video below! (It’s only like 90 seconds. No major commitments here!)
Wood or stainless, painted or stained, we adore open shelving, and the concept of having our favorite items at our fingertips. As the holidays come to an end, our thoughts move to the new year and of course, organization. Sit back, relax and enjoy a look at these beautifully organized kitchens to start your week!
Hold onto your hats, one room challengers! We are so excited to be participating in our first ever One Room Challenge, hosted by the fabulous, lovely and amazing Linda from Calling it Home. Thanks so much for having us, Linda! You may need to shield your eyes on the next couple of photos. Because redoing this kitchen is going to be a bit of a project, to say the least…
Basically no natural light, five layers of linoleum tile, crumbling plywood cabinets and faux-wood paneling… It’s really hard to choose a favorite thing about this “before” kitchen.
We must have North Carolina on the brain this week! A gorgeous designer yesterday… A fabulous house today…
Of all of the amazing and travel-worthy spots in our state, Bald Head Island is one of the most unique — and one of our favorites! Leaving your car on the mainland, traveling by ferry and getting from place to place via golf cart couldn’t be more of an escape or more relaxing. And Lisa Sherry of Lisa Sherry Interieurs‘ Bald Head home couldn’t be more fabulous or swoon-worthy if it tried! (She’s pretty fabulous herself!)
