Color scheme, pattern and texture can bring a room to life and they are just a few elements needed to create beautiful layered living rooms. Take a look at 8 of our favorite gathering spaces just in time for the holidays!
This jaw dropping room with hand painted chinoiserie wallpaper sets the stage for the luscious velvet tufted sofa in a rich pumpkin with a pair of green flamestitch slipper chairs flanking it.
We love a green velvet sofa and the tufting on this one is stunning. The sofa layers the room in warmth and texture, and grounds it in a way that makes the room feel special.
A natural fiber rug, boucle chairs, and eye-catching art – no pun intended – create a room ready for relaxing.
Looking for color? This living room combines reds, creams and light blues to create a room that wows. It is perfect for adult gatherings, yet still inviting for children of all ages.Â
This sunny porch living room is just the place to relax and unwind. Vintage green wicker adds an unexpected pop of color to this charming space. We think it’s just the perfect spot to spend the day!
These gorgeous rooms are where life is not just lived, but experienced. In this space a brilliant blue velvet sofa is a showstopper and pairs beautifully with the Rush House Original Rug. We would never thinks to paint the walls pink, but we love it!
Rooms where antiques and whimsy combine seamlessly – yes, please! The light blue and white check sofa is an unexpected look with the bright blue flowered club chairs.Â
In this last living room, a classic blue sofa, combined with blue and white patterned club chairs invites you to sit and stay awhile.
Perfectly proportioned, wholly welcoming and full of charm, these beautiful living rooms designed by Lilse Mckenna and photographed by Read McKendree Photography are totally making our Wednesday.Â
If you love today’s designs as much as we do, take a look at one of our favorite Lilse McKenna house tours!Â
