Good morning, Design Chicers! It is a beautiful day for a book club luncheon in my lovely hometown of Salisbury, NC. When it’s several book clubs together, all the better! The Slightly South of Simple tour is off to a great start because of book clubs and garden clubs, which we would imagine are some of the oldest and most beloved organizations around.
But, sometimes, there’s really no need to reinvent the wheel.
When you’ve got a good thing going, why not stick with it?
Cast iron sinks have been around almost as long as bathrooms themselves, and their enduring style and timeless attitude is a playful nod to the past, one that Ansley, the interior designer protagonist in Slightly South of Simple would love as she redesigns the historic homes in her town of Peachtree Bluff, Georgia.
An easy way to get two faucets in a small space,
Cast iron sinks come in as many styles as their are bathrooms.
In playful colors that are perfect for kids’ bathrooms,
And hearty, functional design that complements other bathroom stones, metals and textures, these old favorites can easily be dressed up or dressed down to suit any space.
From brightly colored to simple white, cast iron sinks add an immediate charm to any bathroom. Have you ever lived in a house with a cast iron sink?
