Happy Monday, chic readers! We hope you had the best weekend and are ready for a wonderful week ahead! We love starting the week by focusing on some of our favorite things

These gorgeous rooms by Lori Paranjape of Redo Home + Designs are full of light and life that is sure to get your week started off on the right foot!

If there’s anywhere we love a clean, white, uniform space, it’s the kitchen. So much happens in the heart of the home that, for us, a calming palette is lovely. But the texture, accents and details create a look that’s far from simple.

This is the refrigerator of our dreams. I wonder if we could keep it that clean and organized

Far from a dark and dingy cellar, this wine storage is stunning! We would love to have a spot just like this!

From toddlers to puppies and everything in between, there are so many times that a built-in gate would be absolutely paramount. And this one is so pretty!

Another crisp kitchen is accented by happy pops of color from nature. Lemonade, anyone?

These green cabinets are fresh, fun and positively charming!

Color pops in all the right places give a unique and fabulous feel.

I am always, always looking for places to put more bookshelves! There are never enough. This charming library is the perfect place to curl up with a good book–and display favorite treasures along the way. We hope this post gives you tons of inspiration–and has you thinking about some of your favorite things this Monday.

Thanks so much for making Design Chic a part of your day. We always love it when you stop by!

More About Under the Southern Sky

Recently separated Amelia Buxton, a dedicated journalist, never expected that uncovering the biggest story of her career would become deeply personal. But when she discovers that a cluster of embryos belonging to her childhood friend Parker and his late wife Greer have been deemed “abandoned,” she’s put in the unenviable position of telling Parker—and dredging up old wounds in the process.

Parker has been unable to move forward since the loss of his beloved wife three years ago. He has all but forgotten about the frozen embryos, but once Amelia reveals her discovery, he knows that if he ever wants to get a part of Greer back, he’ll need to accept his fate as a single father and find a surrogate.

Each dealing with their own private griefs, Parker and Amelia slowly begin to find solace in one another as they navigate an uncertain future against the backdrop of the pristine waters of their childhood home, Buxton Beach. The journey of self-discovery leads them to an unforgettable and life-changing lesson: Family—the one you’re born into and the one you choose—is always closer than you think.

From “the next major voice in Southern fiction” (Elin Hilderbrand, #1 New York Times bestselling author), Under the Southern Sky is a fresh and unforgettable exploration of love, friendship, and the unbreakable ties that bind.
