Oh, oh, oh, how we love having guest posts from our favorite bloggers on Fridays! Aren’t they simply wonderful? Today, you are in for another treat… A musing from our talented, amazing, fabulous, always stylish friend Tina from the The Enchanted Home. We feel a special kinship with Tina because we started our blogs about the same time, and it has been so fun to see what amazing heights hers has risen to at her skilled hand. She is truly a tastemaker, and blue and white is her signature color! Colors? Well, we think when a combination is this timeless it simply must go together. We think our friend Tina would agree!
Hi there, so happy to be over at one of my favorite blogs on all things beautiful, Design Chic. Today I am here as a guest to talk about a color or two and it might not be much of a surprise to most of you that I have chosen to talk about my favorite color combination in the entire world…..blue and white🙂
I live eat and breath it and just can’t imagine my life and home without it!
Always have my kitchen island filled with some kind of flowering plant, makes me happy to walk into it every morning:)
Blue and white is fabulous in well…..just about everything!
And of course outside there is a healthy dose of blue and white as well
Blue and white makes one heck of a theme for a party
A stunning white arrangement in is always a winner in my book
This vignette on my hallway chest features the most beautiful chinoiserie pumpkins from Karolyn of The Relished Roost
Another setup outside towards the end of summer, added some purple for a dash of color
I love adding various sized jars for my mantle and adding seasonal flowers
So does this post have you craving a bit of blue and white of your very own ? Thank you for stopping in and to Kristy and Beth for asking me to come over, always a pleasure to visit their fabulous site and be a part of what is happening in their world. Wishing everyone a wonderful day and end to your week!

MORE ABOUT THE SUMMER OF SONGBIRDS
Four women come together to save the summer camp that changed their lives and rediscover themselves in the process in this heartwarming new novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Wedding Veil.
Nearly thirty years ago, in the wake of a personal tragedy, June Moore bought Camp Holly Springs and turned it into a thriving summer haven for girls. But now, June is in danger of losing the place she has sacrificed everything for—and begins to realize how much she has used the camp to avoid facing difficulties in her life.
June’s niece, Daphne, met her two best friends, Lanier Bradley and Mary Stuart Harris, during a fateful summer at camp, and the three are inseparable even in their thirties. But when attorney Daphne discovers that Lanier’s fiancé—who just so happens to be her client—has done something highly illegal, she must choose between her job and her friendship.
Meanwhile, Lanier is hiding secrets both new and old that might make Daphne see the situation in an entirely different light. When one of those secrets unexpectedly rises to the surface, it threatens to change the very fabric of their friendship.
But when the women learn that their childhood oasis is in danger of closing, they put aside their own problems and band together with June to save it, sending them on a journey that promises to open the next chapters in their lives.
From an author whose “writing coats your soul with heart” (E! Online), The Summer of Songbirds is a lyrical and unforgettable celebration of female friendship, and a love letter to the places and people that make us who we are.

Once again, Tina, you’re an inspiration. Great article. I love the “Gorgeous Blue and White Scenic Footbath.” As usual, choosing one item is really tough.
Before I started following Tina and the Enchanted Home it would never have occurred to me to add blue and white to our home. It has made all the difference and added such dimension to our rooms. The Porcelain Umbrella Stand 1 would look great in our front hall. Thank you, Tina and Design Chic for bringing beauty to every day living!!
I love the gorgeous scalloped platter. The design is so bright and bold blue and truly stunning. I have a collection of blue and white platters and this would be an outstanding show piece.

My kids now can spot the double happiness symbol across a store…I’ve trained them well. 🙂 good thing as my over 40 eyes let me down but never for blue and white. my girlfriends made fun of me in round top because i couldn’t spot any of them in the crowd but blue and white porcelain i could spot a mile away. 🙂 you have the best guest posts!!!!

I love the Fabulous Oval Planter which is currently sold out. It would also go well with the bird design on the flat top jar you have pictured!
I like the hand painted bird temple jars~a nice reminder that birds have been cherished through time. I know I enjoy looking at the birds in my garden. A bird “in hand” would be really special.
Love, love, love the shop! I have wanted one of the elegant blue and white planters for my orchids for a long time. Obviously I need it to go with the rest of my blue and white house. Such a timeless classic!

I have two corner cabinets in my dining room and I would place one on top of each cabinet. My dining room is hand painted in french blue strie pattern with white trim. The ginger jars would be perfect for my room. Thank you for sharing.
Tina,
Your selection of blue and white porcelain is fabulous! While I really like everything you carry I have had my eye on the Elegant Fluted Planter for awhile. I could totally see it on a round center hall table in a foyer.

I have been fortunate to have collected a few pieces during her amazing promotions to add to my own collection of blue and white. I have yet to acquire a blue and white planter in my collection and have got my eye on a few…but the scenic oval planter with the handles and border of geometric pattern is amazing and I can think of several places I could display and use it in our home!

Hi!
I like the flat top ginger jars the best! I know that seems unoriginal, since that is the giveaway, but that is my favorite thing! They are so cute – and I am just re-doing my FR from red toile and accents to blue, and blue and white porcelain would be the PERFECT thing to add to the room! Crossing my fingers!
Thanks!

I love all things blue and white. I started collecting blue and white 40 plus years ago beginning with the blue and white dishes I selected when I married. My B&W collecting has turned into an addiction I’m afraid. So many beautiful things in your shop it’s had to choose just one but I really like the new blue and white buffet lamps you just got in. They are beautiful.
